The construction of national data centers has entered a foam period: the total number has exceeded 640000
on October 31, at the seventh China Disaster Recovery Industry Forum, Huang Wei, President and CEO of Wanguo data, told that the construction of domestic data centers is in a foam period
as the most basic business type of cloud computing, data center construction first broke out in the cloud computing industry. According to the data released by CCID, the scale of China's cloud computing market is expected to reach 47.448 billion yuan in 2012, with a year-on-year increase of 64.6%, which is an increase of more than 60% for three consecutive years
at present, whether large enterprises in telecommunications, finance, power and other industries, or various science and technology parks and governments at all levels across the country are in full swing in the construction of data centers. This phenomenon began in 2007. According to a CCID consultant who is very familiar with the cloud computing industry and the standard system covering the production process and detection methods, at present, the total number of domestic data centers has exceeded 640000, of which only 18 are public service-oriented data centers
at present, there are too many domestic data centers. Many data centers have become enclosure movements, blind and impulsive, often just blindly add servers and other hardware, and do not do well at the software level and service level. Moreover, the implementation of cloud computing services will take a long time. Cao Kaibin, a well-known software expert and chief editor of China software, told
in addition, by virtue of virtualization technology, the operation efficiency of a single server is improved, which can handle more services and content, making the implementation of cloud computing even more powerful. At the same time, the power consumption of this server is also increased correspondingly
at present, the cost of electricity accounts for more than 50% of the daily operating cost. Huang Wei told that in the long run, the operation of data centers is a long-term challenge. Which companies can do well in energy management will have more opportunities. The next two to three years will still be the peak period of data center construction
3 years later, the data center will usher in a low tide, when mergers and acquisitions will gradually begin. As for M & A, Huang Wei believes that the M & A of data center is no longer the M & A of scale, but the M & A of value chain. The data center involves network, storage, disaster recovery and other links, as well as the division of regions and markets. These factors should be the focus of mergers and acquisitions
from foreign experience, after a round of foam construction, the construction of data center will enter a low tide. In 2000, American Internet was experiencing a foam, and from 2002 to 2005, data centers were in a low tide. In 2006, with the main purpose of the cloud: the tensile machine is used to stop stretching, tightening, bending, shearing, stripping and other forces on metal and non-metal data. Even with the concept of mechanical afterburner computing and big data used in the performance experiment of big money, the United States ushered in the rapid development of data center construction. In 2011, the U.S. government announced that about 800 data centers would be closed from 2011 to 2015, of which 373 would be closed this year
at present, the business model of cloud computing enables data centers to provide services to small and medium-sized enterprises. For this trend, Huang Wei told that the container mode (mainly for small and medium-sized enterprises) would not be considered in the future expansion of Wanguo data center. Wanguo data is positioned as an enterprise level data center, which will provide data center and it outsourcing services for large enterprises in Europe, Italy, Spain and other countries. In Huang Wei's view, the container mode is flexible and fast, and there will be market services, but it will not become the mainstream. Although large enterprises will build their own data centers, they build their own data centers more out of control needs than efficiency and service considerations
Google, Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft and IBM are setting up data centers around the world. At present, these international large enterprises have achieved specialization and globalization in data centers. In Huang Wei's view, large domestic enterprises also need to be professional and nationwide in order to have the opportunity to provide services to the data center
